Terms of service

Effective October 10, 2026. These terms cover the cloudcovervoice.net website and the CloudCover Voice service (cloudcovervoice.com) operated by CloudCover Texas ("we", "us").

The service

CloudCover Voice answers phone calls, text messages and web chats for businesses that subscribe to it ("clients"). It can answer questions, book and change appointments, and connect callers with the client's staff. It is an automated assistant: it identifies itself as one when asked, and it will connect you with a person on request.

The automated receptionist is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988.

SMS program terms

Program name

CloudCover Texas appointment and account notifications.

What you'll receive

Transactional messages related to something you asked for: appointment confirmations and reminders, callback notices, one-time verification codes, and office closure or schedule notices. We do not send marketing messages under this program.

How you opt in

By checking the SMS consent box on one of our forms, or by saying yes when the receptionist asks during a call whether you'd like a text. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies by what you've requested. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You'll get one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed. You can opt back in by asking us on a call or on a form.

Help

Reply HELP to any message, call (978) 924-8655, or email [email protected].

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include major U.S. carriers; delivery depends on your carrier and device.

Privacy

How we handle your number and consent is described in our privacy policy. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

Using the website

You may use this site to learn about the service and to ask us to contact you. Don't submit information that isn't yours, attempt to probe or disrupt the site, or use it for anything unlawful.

Appointments and information

Appointment times offered by the receptionist come from the client's calendar at the time of the call. The client may need to change or confirm an appointment afterward. Answers to questions reflect information the client has given us; for anything medical, legal or financial, the receptionist will connect you with a person rather than advise.

Recording

Calls with the automated receptionist may be recorded and transcribed; we say so at the start of each call. By continuing the call you consent to recording where the law requires consent.

Our clients' responsibilities

Businesses that subscribe to the service agree to a separate service agreement that covers data ownership, acceptable use, and their own obligations to callers. Nothing here changes that agreement.

Limits on liability

The site and the automated receptionist are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or the service, or from delayed, undelivered or inaccurate messages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Grayson County, Texas.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above tells you when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
